Saint Joseph Hospital - East Women's Center

CMW Healthcare designed Kentucky’s first free-standing Women’s Center for Saint Joseph HealthCare at its East campus. The state-of-the-art women's facility at Saint Joseph East, unlike any hospital in the state is dedicated to maternity services. The 60,000 square foot facility will house labor/delivery rooms, nursery, neonatal intensive care, and all other maternity services in a freestanding addition to the hospital that will be dedicated exclusively to women's services. "The number of deliveries at Saint Joseph East has grown from 400 to nearly 2,000 annually over the past 8 years, and our patient satisfaction has never been higher," said Gene Woods, President and CEO of Saint Joseph HealthCare. "This new facility will allow more mothers to choose Saint Joseph East as their women's facility in a beautiful and exclusive environment that will offer the latest in care." The new facility will have a capacity of 3,000 deliveries annually and will feature patient centered design and amenities, with the entire family's comfort in mind. The centerpiece of the new building will be a light well made of glass that will run through the entire building. Every patient room will feature natural light, either via traditional windows, or the solid glass light well. We have designed this facility so that mother and family can experience the truly outstanding and customized delivery experience that patients now expect from Saint Joseph East. This building will be like no other in the state. The women's center will also offer a state-of-the-art security system for newborns, 12 labor and delivery suites, 28 post partum suites, 16 NICU beds, 32 well-baby bassinettes, 3 C-section rooms, and a dedicated antepartum unit for women who are experiencing complications during pregnancy with 10 suites.
