University Village Apartments
Lexington, Kentucky
Phase I consisted of four 24-unit, 2-bedroom apartments designed for student occupancy. This development is one-half mile from the University of Kentucky and is programmed to include a pool, tennis courts, walking paths and recreational commons. This community contains three additional 24-unit buildings containing a mix of one and two bedroom apartments. Phase II also includes the Village shops building designed to be a retail center for food and other services specifically intended to cater to the student population of University Village. The design, on-site parking, amenities and retail support have contributed to the 100% leased success of this student residence concept. The project was constructed in wood frame, brick, wood siding, asphalt shingles, phypon and thermally broken vinyl window and door systems. Each building is protected by 13R fire suppression systems. Each 1,000 square foot residence has a fully contained, all electric heat pump, modern kitchen and laundry room with washer and dryer.
